How to wear Deerskin wrap bracelet Part 1

I have been wanting to post this tutorial a while back but haven't got chance to make it.
Today is a good day I did finished the first part of my tutorial.

1. I always start of with the toggle circle part on my palm and use the other hand to grab the other end of the wrap and wrap around your wrist just like in this picture.....

 2. Once you finished wrapping the bracelet around your wrist, bring the skinny end of the toggle through the circle ring part of the toggle like in this picture....

3. Now is the important step. If the wrap somehow doesn't fit you the way you want, I suggest you do the following. Once you bring through the skinny toggle end passed the circle ring, PULL AGAINST the skinny toggle part towards the other direction to MAKE THE WRAP FIT you wrist the way you want it to be...... Check it out this picture carefully.....

4. Once you got the right fitness, go ahead and TUG the skinny end toggle into the wraps and fit it right where you want!

DONE!! Now this wrap can fit everyone's wrist. I promise :)

Next time, I will show you how to wear them as other accessories.

Thanks,

Kwang

Christmas Gift for yourself and everyone else.

Right now is so cold in Los Angeles and I don't really know how to cope with this weather. lol ;)

It has never been this cold since I have moved here 5 years ago. I love it now that I get a chance to wear boots and fur fashion clothing.

One more good news is that this means CHRISTMAS is coming...wooo hooo!!

Getting ready to the big holidays yet? I have some great idea for this holidays.

2.  Eat some hot soup with a big piece of steak and forget about losing weight for once girls!

3. Go skiing! Take some nice pictures and show me :)

Gold wiring with Swarovski Crystals Earrings

I got this idea from when I was trying to use the left over leather cords and crystal from other projects. It is actually a great idea, don't you think?
Not too difficult to make but take time and patient. The most difficult part, I have to admit, is to keep the wiring ends inside and wrap around the leather cord.

Next project is to try to do other shape like stars or maybe letters!

Added dangling Aquamarine crystals.

   Thanks for following.

Where to get good quality greek leather cords in LA?

I had this question in my mind once I had just started leather braiding jewelry.  If you are looking for a place to get good leather cords with many color and style selections, read on!

So i asked people around i the answer was to go to Downtown LA fashion district. Luckily I happened to work just right over there. So i took my trip walking around there but didn't really find the right stores till I found Burgers' beads store. If i remember it correctly, it is on Maple and 8th street.

The prices are great but not many selections.... I meant not as much as I wanted. Well, I was satisfied for a while then but not until I found this place called Bead Source in West LA. It is on Pico and just a block east of Overland. They are also have many other locations all over LA. You can check out at http://www.beadsourceinc.com/

They got great stuff on leather cords, and laces. I ended up going there at least once a week!

Inspiration for my handmade jewelry

We took a trip to Mammoth, California on the evening of Friday 12, 2010. I was hoping in my mind that I could get some inspiration for my handmade jewelry for winter collection.

Mammoth Lake - California in November 2010 - Half Frozen.

On the way to Mammoth, we stopped at Lone Pine and this was right in front of the place we stayed.

Sssssssnoooooooooowwww!

There was waterfall there too. The water was still falling when we were there. You could hear the sound of water falling form very far away.

Look! How beautiful is this place!

And that was about it. Now I am going to spend my Sunday coming up with some cool new design for my Winter handmade jewelry collection!

Thanks for reading.

Introducing Lucite Beads

I just recently found out a new kind of bead - Lucite beads.
Only just Lucite itself gives a plastic look to the jewelry piece and no reflection so I mixed with Crystal to give the piece a shinning effect. It worked well!

Another piece I made over the weekend. A combination of Lucite filigree from Germany + gold plated filigree + Rose Carved Lucite Bead + Rhinestones, it came out vintage just as I wanted it to be. I love this piece - the colors and filigree really give the feminine feeling. It is a long necklace with a 50 mm pendant.

Gambling is not the answer!

This weekend I had a chance to go to a casino in the valley with some friends after I have been living here ( Los Angeles)  for almost 5 years.

It was Saturday evening, we got there about 4 pm and the place has just started to get crowded. The first stop was slot machines - Blazing 77777777!!

The rule is to match 7 7 7 and you get to win $300 upto 1,000 depending on you bet. I never believe we were gonna win anything.

Soon enough ( after 2nd $20 dollar bill we inserted ), here it comes 7 7 7 !!! Woooo! We won $300 in no time!!

We ended up staying there for 12 hours and not losing .... Hahahahaha!
In the end i realized gambling is not the way to get you anything but losing your valuable time.

Current Obsession

BEAD IT AWAY!
My new hobby is to create these beautiful and one-of-a-kind beads jewelry for myself :)

This set is very easy to make. Earrings are a bit of a challenging.

I think the secret is to find nice color combination of your materials - in this case, beads and CZ ring charms I used.

They look more expensive than they actually cost me - $8.

A closer look at the bracelet.

This is the really first one I created.

This one is Turquoise Howlite Stones with leather wrap inspired by Chan Luu. Not expensive to make but take time and practice to do it. This one is my second so it looks better than the first ( that i won't post it here .)
